Well, being a Star Wars freak fan and a Software Engineer, I sometimes get overlap – where one passion starts to bleed into another. I sometimes get to the stage where I start looking at character traits or situations in terms from the Star Wars saga.

So what would Yoda be like if he was a software developer? Well, most likely he would be in favor of open source and he would probably code in Java. That would probably make me Darth Vader’s lackey – after all I haven’t coded in Java since 2002. I try not to get in to the whole “us vs them” debate as I think it is not only futile and a waste of time but also I’d prefer spending my time listening to arguments that actually affect my work now, which is primarily .NET driven. That may be a narrow minded attitude to take, but I enjoy the work I’m doing right now and for the foreseeable future it is where I want to be.

Here we are then, first post and it is meant to be purely introductory as I have only just started to blog in a technical sense. My intention with this blog is to highlight what I have found to be useful with regards to .NET development, Scrum techniques and any helpful tid bits that I have found on the way. Anything that I post here is purely a personal opinion and does not reflect anything that my current or previous employers believe / use.
